FAQ

Question: Can i give the chicks back after hatching?

Answer: Yes, most people give back the chicks within a month of hatching but you can keep them for life.

Question: Can i call if i have a question or a problem?

Answer: Yes, we answer phone calls between 10:00 am - 5:00pm Tuesday-Sunday.

Question: What if my eggs don't hatch can i get more?

Answer: Yes, not all the eggs will be successful but in some rare occasions none will hatch so we provide more free of change.

Question: What do the newborns need after hatching?

Answer: We will go over in detail what to do when you pick up but to give a short answer use the heat lamp provided to provide 95 degrees F to new born chicks for 1st week, give them access to food/water then let them rest for a day or 2 before handling.

Question: how long does it take for a chicken to hatch?

Answer: 21 days from start to finish.

Question: What do you do with the chickens that come back?

Answer: We keep them so they can produce more eggs for the program or sell them to families looking to start their own flock. We will not sell them for food.
